The reception for the show last night was a great success! Even though the weather kept some away, those who came seemed to have a super time, and I received many compliments on the photographs. It was so great to have the dancers there and be able to accept some kudos as well, everyone enjoyed meeting them and it certainly took the event to another level to actually have the subjects of the photos on hand for the viewing.
Thanks so much for the supporters who braved the rain for the performance at the bandshell, and especially to the dancers for plugging through and making the best of an already poor situation. Stuart Hemsley, who helped me out by announcing truly went above and beyond when he could have been lounging by the indoor pool at the WildWood out of the rain. It didn’t turn out the way we had hoped, but it was still worth the effort. Thanks to John Durney for pitching in with the sound system!
One thing that truly added to the atmosphere of the reception was all of the fine food that was provided by local eateries, it was a far cry from the standard cheese and cracker fare. My thanks to all of you…

The great food and spirits definitely made the sting of the weather much more bearable. Not to mention the beautiful bouquets provided by my great friends at the Lake Placid Flower and Gift Company!
I also need to thank my show sponsors for their help to make this all happen;
Margie Philo, Adirondack Premier Properties
Franny Preston, Prime Lending Mortgage Consultant
Mike Foote, State Farm insurance
Joshua Whitney, Eastbranch Design
and Edward Mazdzer and family.
Jamison Capozio of Capozio Gallery whose excellent craftsmanship matting and framing the prints helped tie it all together, and Margarete Schulte of A Point of View Gallery who asked me to show in the first place.
and of course, Rebecca…thanks you for helping me with the direction and providing the opportunities that made all of the images happen.
